On August 9, 2026, in Hanoi, the United Nations in Viet Nam and its partners launched International Youth Day 2026 under the theme “Many Contexts, One Shared Aspiration.” The event celebrates youth-led initiatives while creating a space for young people to connect, share ideas, and contribute to sustainable development. Fly To Sky Charity Organization was honored to be selected as one of the youth initiatives to participate in and showcase its work at the event.

The event took place on Level 4 of Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, at 272 Vo Chi Cong Street, Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi, bringing together international guests, delegates, representatives from organizations, social enterprises and educational institutions, as well as a large number of Vietnamese and international young people. Hundreds of young participants arrived early to explore the initiative booths and take part in a range of interactive and networking activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with youthful energy.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Pauline Tamesis, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Viet Nam, highlighted the important role of young people in shaping the future and driving positive change in their communities. She emphasized that International Youth Day is an opportunity to recognize the creativity, adaptability and leadership of young people, stating: “You are not waiting for the future to come. You are creating the future today!”

A key highlight of the event was the exhibition space featuring youth-led initiatives. With 44 youth organizations, groups, social enterprises and educational institutions participating, the event showcased a diverse range of models, ideas and solutions addressing issues including education, health, the environment, digital technology, gender equality and social inclusion. The exhibition also provided an opportunity for youth-led initiatives to engage with the public, connect with organizations and partners, and exchange ideas with young people who share similar interests and aspirations.

Being selected to showcase its work at International Youth Day 2026 marks a meaningful milestone for Fly To Sky, providing an opportunity for its community-focused activities and initiatives to be introduced alongside a diverse range of youth-led models from across Viet Nam. Through its participation, Fly To Sky continues to promote the spirit of youth-led action and encourage young people to address practical challenges in their communities while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

International Youth Day is observed annually by the United Nations to recognize the role, voices and contributions of young people to social progress and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 2026 theme, “Many Contexts, One Shared Aspiration,” highlights the diverse living conditions, opportunities and challenges faced by young people across different communities. Despite coming from different backgrounds and circumstances, young people share common aspirations for access to education and employment, meaningful participation in society, dignity and a sustainable future.

By bringing together youth-led initiatives and the stories behind them, International Youth Day 2026 not only recognizes the contributions young people are making today, but also creates opportunities for these initiatives to connect, grow and generate greater positive impact in their communities.
